#3GoodThings I'm currently in denial of getting a cold, so it's good to focus on good things! 1. the sun streaming into the bedroom. 2. the way the light turns her fur almost brown, despite looking black otherwise. 3. stardew valley is such a delightful distraction

#3GoodThings 1. Insomnia isn’t a good thing, but starting to build a html/css website from scratch in the middle of the night really is. 2. Cat sleeping on my leg, snoring 3. Making wonky doodles and posting them without worry

#3GoodThings 1. I've once again proven that coffee really helps me manage the fatigue side effects of my meds. I'm so happy! 2. I finally own Hollywood, Ending by John Green. 3. Being in the heart of Amsterdam again was the greatest joy of all of yesterday. My husband had to go there for work and I hitched a ride :)

#3GoodThings 1. Coffee is the nectar of the gods and it helps me manage the constant fatigue so much better (this alone is worth a blog post!) 2. I'm SO happy that I'm a natural list maker. I'm planning our first airplane trip in many many years and everry time I get anxiety about it I can dive into my lists and know I have everything under control! 3. I'm so happy I found more wool to fuel my nålebinding experimentations!

#3GoodThings 1. writing a little on my new novel-ish project, longhand because that felt less challenging than writing on my laptop 2. coffee. Delicious coffee 3. my husband making me cheesy things as my afternoon snack. Yum.

#3GoodThings 1. just had some amazing tea my sister gave me. It's brilliant 2. started to knit some candy colour fingerless gloves. Wear those things so often in winter that I like to have a choice :) 3. the wild meows of our cat when my husband comes home. I swear she starts meowing even before he puts his key in the lock.

This post by Kurzgesagt is so disturbing. They make videos without AI, yet an AI moderator marked their video as slop, and has stopped showing the video to subscribers. This is so worrying. Every time I look at the sidebar of YouTube videos, I see videos with thousands of views from vague channels that look very slop-y and those videos get recommended while those by real creators seem to get shadowbanned. My doom-thinking mind can't help but think that it won't be long before AI cre...

So sad at hearing of Glen Hansard's passing. Feels right to share the tiny desk concert (which was where I first fell in love with his music, I think) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IFlMFVwgIQI

holy shit. Saw something similar cross my timeline the other day, and it's set me off on a tailspin. They are gobbling up all our creativity and knowledge and then DESTROY the books!!! It must be their wet dream that they own all the knowledge and then get us to pay for the priviledge of learning. https://www.techspot.com/news/113277-ai-firms-quietly-buying-destroying-millions-printed-books.html

Just found this old poem in my notes. It made me smile so I share it in hopes it does the same for you. — finding what to create is as easy as doing nothing watching thoughts zip by until your mind lets go and allows your soul to whisper #poetry

I've spent most of my day in front of my air cooler. Just saw that the temperature outside is 38, but feels like 40. Inside it's 32, and 77 percent humidity. I'm in bed, only moving if I have to go to the loo, otherwise I'm not moving, and having a loving husband occasionally supplying me with food and tea :) Tomorrow the temperature will be 31 degrees, and then in the evening they predict wild thunderstorms. After that the temperature will go to a niiiiiiiice 21 degrees ave...

Almost all good news from the oncologist on my blood tests. Phew! Do need an extra blood test for the kidneys but drinking more should give better levels at a new test in two weeks. If not my meds need adjusting (they mess with the kidneys)
