Off to a conference on community resilience and emergency preparedness this week and just seen the delegate list. I thought it was a regional Yorkshire thing for charities and community groups..but it's a national one. Most of the others are senior staff or CEOs of huge charities or council leaders..and then there's me from our little rural community project! Will be interesting...

Had a phone call earlier which seemed genuine about an issue we have with some utility bills.. after 2 hours back and forth, calls, emails and him seemingly knowing what the problem was and offering some solutions to fix it. I suddenly got suspicious and realised the email he had contacted me on looked dodgy.. and hung up .. phoned utility company and his email was nothing to do with them...have reported it and he didn't get enough info to do anything with.. but they said AI is making scam...

Hello you UK #permaculture #OrganicGardening #Allotment folk. I have hundreds of bulbils from some perennial Babbington Leeks. I shared some locally last year with instructions for growers to save some of bulbils to pass on .. so.. there are lots around here already. If anyone wants some, I'm happy to post some out in return for a small donation to the community project I run to cover postage costs.

I did not have Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron being #BTSArmy on my 2026 bingo card. They were at the #BTS gig in Paris last night waving their light sticks 🇫🇷😆

Visiting mother in law for a few days who is a fabulous and entertaining character. She's in her 90s, a lifelong #CrystalPalace fan and she has really got into the #WorldCup and stayed up late the other night cheering on #CapeVerde. She proudly told me about the many Crystal Palace players in the world cup playing for various countries. Watching Paraguay v France now with her 😀⚽❤️

Sigh..just sat down to do a funding application for our #CommunityFridge to discover the charity is now using a portal. In theory.. fine.. saves having to input basic data every time.. but.. it quickly became clear it was US based, the questions to register our organisation were odd and seemed a bit dodgy, do funders really need to know tax references? Usually they just ask charity or company number and board info, accounts etc all are available to see online. Felt like some data harvesting AI t...

Tomorrow is the 100th birthday of David Attenborough.. there will be lots of tributes and kind words said about him. Here is a quirky homage from Biscuithead and the Biscuit Badgers. A marvellous puppet and musical masterpiece which they did to celebrate his 90th birthday. Enjoy 😀 https://youtu.be/vVWm9GNRlQw?si=fCMcgvuMBbDr3BP7 #DavidAttenborough

How interesting.. a friend has twin daughters who are in their early 30s. One had a load of hassle getting through passport control in Poland because the EU digital ID system clearly doesn't know how to handle identical twins! Immigration was convinced she was not herself but her sister (who had been on holiday recently and already been through the new ID system.) Presumably whichever one goes through the system first becomes the 'default' twin. #Twin #Doppelganger #Digital #ID
