Some photos from the glider flight I did on Saturday - my furthest one so far, crossing through Austria and well into the Swiss Alps! It's always a joy to see these amazing mountains from above! https://www.weglide.org/flight/1066653

This is possibly the most incredible tracking video of a rocket launch that I have ever seen, and Shuttle had some really incredible videos too! Just look at those gorgeous flame dynamics and then the booster separation... https://youtube.com/shorts/a1uvU8Y7h10 #Artemis #NASA #SLS #Moon #rocket #space

I uploaded a video with all four available tracking views of the Artemis II launch next to each other. https://youtu.be/ydUeuJvZ97s #Artemis #NASA #SLS #Moon #rocket #space

I really can't stop looking at this photo - We usually think of space as being entirely empty and dark, but our Sun has a lot of dust around it that we can rarely see. This so called Zodiacal light is giving the moon this eerie backlit glow. And four people really have been there and witnessed this yesterday, absolutely blows my mind! RE: https://squeet.me/display/962c3e10-c8c98246-5138cded57c895d1 Some cool new pictures and interesting preliminary findings about 3I/Atlas from the JUICE flyby last November. The article also features my processing of the NavCam image sequence :) #space #esa #comet #3iatlas

@hareldan Cool! It's rare to get a behind the scenes look of that project, even if I would have liked to see more technical infromation nuggets :)

What a beauty! This is comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) passing through the field of view of the LASCO C3 coronagraph. It wasn't for certain whether it would survive it's closest approach to the sun on January 13th, but it did and delivered us a spectacular show! https://flic.kr/p/2qFGG1e #comet #C2024G3 #space #astrodon

Last November the ESA JUICE Spacecraft captured the interstellar comet 3I/Atlas shortly after its closest approach to the sun. Here is my reprocessed version of the Juice NavCam images from this encounter. For this animation I removed the static noise and aligned the images to the nucleus. It still seems unreal to me that humans will soon be flying back to the moon! They will be returning to Earth at a speed of 40.000 km/h, the fastest ever reentry of a crewed spacecraft. To get an idea what such a reentry looks like, I made this remastered version of the Artemis 1 reentry from 2022 with trajectory data overlayed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QbYrs5SZ5M #Artemis2 #Artemis #Moon #Nasa #Apollo #reentry #space

You may have seen pictures, but have you ever seen video of a Gigantic Jet #TLE from space? Astronaut Jeanette Epps captured this incredible sequence on July 20th, 2024 as part of the DTU/ESA Thor-Davis experiment.
