Dear #Apple, It is 2026. It's time to fix the unable to eject my SD card reader because one or more programs may be using it. YOU KNOW WHICH PROCESSES. GIVE US A FLIPPING WAY OUT OF THIS OTHER THAN REBOOTING MY COMPUTER THAT DOES BILLIONS OF OPERATIONS A SECONDS. Sincerely, Someone who wants to shoot some drone footage without these hassles. Feedback: Will be filed when I am less yelly.

Switching to #siriai has been an overnight transformation to Siri in the same way that starting Zepbound was for my health.

I wonder which API Battle.net is using. UIScenes are required for iOS 27. What is dropped in 28? Is 28 a bug in this notification?! #askmehowiknow #apple #macos27 Clicking the notification took me to the Rosetta page heh. I thought that as gone in 27?

The support for my Iliyo charger purchase (EVRA ENERGY LLC) has been fantastic. I had issues with Apple Pay on iOS 27. They made changes. IN FOUR DAYS. Scrolling the cart would scroll the website behind the car. THEY FIXED THAT TOO. I mean, FOUR DAYS after I emailed them. My shipment arrived with one charger and Shop said the order was delivered. They responded in AN HOUR on my SUNDAY said so sorry, it's one FedEx, one UPS. They also asked why I don't like Shop. Fantastic!

This is a shortcut for #apple #macOS27 #visionOS27 #iOS27 that will describe what is on the clipboard for a social media alt text of 1500 characters or less. I used the term "blind" in the model description to be as clear as possible to the computer, since it is after all, a computer. This shortcut will replace what is on the clipboard with the description with no feedback, so beware! I am using this until @ivory@tapbots.social supports this natively in the Mac and iOS apps. https...

Dashcams are great. When an incident occurs, they record your location in the @atpfm@mastodon.social episode that you are listening to.

@joelvanderwerf @drahardja oh boy, this is a real problem. Those Canadians are going to start flowing over the border via the Black Ball ferry now.

As a dummy, I paid for a year, but I still cancelled my Cursor subscription and told them that I want nothing to do with Elon.

I scaled up the NASA Artemis II photos with Pixelmator Pro, and the black of space is still pixelated. I wonder if the astronauts shot JPEG+RAW and we can get the RAW photos somewhere?

I misspoke last week that Match had removed some audio from when it was first launched. It was under Library, not Apple Music. I was confused because when I searched, Music showed the albums and said "no longer available" cc @caseyliss

@caseyliss you can add “or maybe while in the drive thru at Starbucks” to your when to order merch spiel

Very happy with the Kuycon 32GP for my needs so far. I like that it is glossy and bright. At night. I have taken to turning off the overhead light and turning on the key light in my face but at like 5 or 10%.

Final Cut Pro is disappointingly buggy. Like major portions of a short timeline just don't render buggy. Basic stuff. What a bummer.

Documents and Desktop in iCloud Drive has been so reliable (I do have offsite backups) that I would happily pay for more storage. We are using 900gb/2tb so have plenty of headspace, but this experience of my data everywhere has been just awesome. #Apple #iclouddrive

Fun fact for people concerned about data in iCloud Drive: I have more data stored in Messages than I do in iCloud Drive for ALL of my documents (sans iMove and FCP projects)

I am so happy with my progress on preparing for this house build. And I'll miss 100 things, but damn if it doesn't feel good to be so much more prepared than I was in January.

Much rejoicing as the house looks to be within budget and we have a build 7-8 months!

Why is Apple moving the search bars back to the top. Grr, the bottom is thumb accessible.

I really hope some form of these AI tools remain as they sure make learning complex software so much faster. I would also love to be able to see money flow to the sources of the information the AI is glomming from.

I will never complain about free software and free addons that are letting me model my house for free and I can also say that whatever this software is doing to spin lock my M4 Mac Mini while dragging an outline of a wall seems like it could be optimized.
