@joeneXtra@todon.eu generally speaking, I'm not sure. On one hand, XMPP on android is fucking amazing: Conversations is a fucking masterpiece -- a chef's kiss -- of software development and UI/UX. On the other hand XMPP on IOS is beyond garbage it just throws the option of XMPP away. On the contrary, deltachat is the same across on both instances, from notifications to the UI. Although DC are still working on phone calling, Its still impressive nonetheless that they are doing it on emai...

with US states mandating developers to sell user data is flawed fundamentally. Its the equivalent of asking #tor to give their userbase data (IP address, log files, etc...) When they don't have it, and as such (hypothetically speaking) the US resorts to putting a 1 billion dollar defense budget to build multiple entrance and exit relays to trace user IP It will cost more money to put in, than what is effectively getting out.

@jackryder @nixCraft Yea it was after a certain point (when i started caring about my privacy) that some of the reddit communities just didn't make sense being on the platform. r/privacy is one such community, you put all this information out there of the spyware and cookies big tech is using to create a profile of you, but you put it on the platform known for selling your data. When I commented in that community I felt like the biggest hypocrite on there.

As much as I hate generative AI I do love for one thing: finding really hidden fuck ups in my code. For example, I've made an optimized function to make my robot move in a straight line, and for some reason my right motor was moving faster than the left despite my quadrature reading on left being much less than that on the right. #genai #embeddedsystems #C

With trump declaring war on Iran a couple weeks back, my #tor snowflake has been flooded with people anonymizing their identity. Currently I've received 21 people accessing my relay in the past 2 hours. For scale, I've kept snowflake on for days before the war and have gotten about 9 or 10 people using snowflake. Anyone who may have a burner phone/laptop install orbot or the snowflake Firefox extension to let people circumvent the internet. Let's keep the internet a...
