NYTimes -- "The global economic and political uncertainly created by the Trump administration has sent gold prices soaring. On Friday afternoon, they sat at $4,342.41 an ounce." Today's robber barons -- the Tech Bros -- benefit from Trump's insane policies. And strangely, the high price of gold has improved Canada's trade surplus.

Here is why the Dept of War can bomb schools and hospital with impunity. My Lai 2.0 “the US military no longer has the people, tools or infrastructure needed to comply with two federal statutes requiring it to maintain a functioning civilian casualty policy, and operate a Civilian Protection Center of Excellence (CP CoE). Donald Trump’s administration has been accused of making deep cuts to the Pentagon’s civilian harm mitigation and response (CHMR) program, designed to handle training and pro...

Yesterday over the phone, I helped my 80 yo sister get her laser jet printer back on her network. 💪 She had replaced her Orbi router. 😬 She really needs a smart home vendor who can help older adults who want to stay in their home but struggle with tech & internet issues. ⛑️ Are there any smart home vendors in that market? Help!

The Tech Bros (Peter Thiel and DTrump Jr) are behind Polymarket, an unregulated and presumably untraceable betting platform (euphemistically called a prediction market). People are betting crypto on political outcomes and war. What if people had bet on Hitler to win WW2? This needs to stop! https://www.thenerve.news/p/polymarket-guide-betting-trump-prediction-market-venezuela-farage-uk-regulation-synthetic-truth

This SFChron article by John Blanchard is really long but totally fascinating. I couldn’t stop reading it. If the link doesn’t work, subscribe. Pulitzer level journalism. It’s about a crazy woman who managed to get certified as a drug counselor and then stalked her patient for years, fabricated tons of evidence, and is still trying to ruin his life from jail. It’s Baby Reindeer x 10. https://www.sfchronicle.com/projects/2026/the-wrong-stalker/

USA has a Thief-in-chief. Use it. From Facebook: Today I heard someone refer to Donald Trump as the "Thief-in-Chief," and as fond as he has been for giving people names, I thought that would be a great name for him -- so appropriate. … “Not only has the Thief-in-Chief (and his family) found numerous ways to make money off his presidency, while he is president, he has taken away health care for some, with the help of his Supreme Court majority, taken away women's right...

This makes me pretty sick to my stomach, but it explains why Trump even bothers to have such sycophantic cabinet meetings. "At least 1 of every 6 sentences either flattered Mr. Trump, gave him credit or criticized his political opponents." #DasFuror https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/us/politics/trump-cabinet-meetings.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share
