Met a guy. Everytime he opened his mouth he plugged something about himself or his stuff. In fact, he plugged something new when he was already plugging something. It was exhausting (for me). 🫩 But I admire his commitment to #selfPromotion. 👏 #conversations #people #mindfulness

Visitors often get "prasaad(a/am)" at Hindu temples and the Thirupathi "laddu" is very popular in #India. That temple sells 10 million+ laddus *each month*. 😲🛕 The laddus are huge and tasty, but you're to eat just a little. Still, check out its ingredients and #nutrition info.📋 https://www.deccanherald.com/india/andhra-pradesh/tirumala-laddu-sales-hits-all-time-high-in-may-4026158

RE: https://hachyderm.io/@smurthys/116789833659983888 A large "Yoga Narasimha" installation at Widyaa-Waarinidhi Theertha Guest House, Udupi #India. It seems this #sculpture has been at this spot forever, but I noticed it only last night. (The wavy light strips behind create a moving effect.) 🧘‍♂️ The sculpture is modeled after the main deity of Kaniyooru Matha (which owns the guest house). 👇 PS: I don't know in which order your client shows the sculpture and the quoted...

Super #niche: I received this book last year and finally started reading (muddling through) it now. It's a 700-page #Kannada commentary on a 350+ years old #Sanskrit scholarly work about events in the life of Krishna.🪈 The original "shree-krishna-chaarithrya-manjaree" is by Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swami and is only 28 verses (112 lines).📜 #wipWednesday #Wednesday #workInProgress #reading #photography

I saw a mongoose couple in the yard and wondered if they fight, you know, as a couple. Then I saw a young one frolic around them and I muttered "yeah, probably about which one of them spoiled the kid". Says a lot about me. 😌 #thoughts #innerMonologue #mongoose

Narasimha is the fourth incarnation of the #Hindu god Wishnu. For reasons, rage is a key trait of Narasimha, especially early in the incarnation. #trivia Yesterday (Thursday) was "Narasimha Jayanthi", the birthday of Narasimha. The occasion is observed with pomp in Waisnavite locations across #India. I of course attended the Narasimha Jayanthi festivities in #Udupi. Of the many people I encountered, two were rather rude and directed some anger at me, which I thought I didn&am...
