I am from Denmark and now live in Copenhagen (Ørestad). I've also spent some years of my life as a resident of Beijing and Seoul.

At first, I thought I would mainly be posting stuff about Clojure or RDF (what I do at work, basically), but—somehow—I find myself mostly just uploading pictures of the adventures I go on with my son in our cargo bike (I don't drive a car).

https://bubbles.town/ Do you know about this website? It's got Reddit-style upvote/downvote functionality, but only for personal blogs (from a large, but curated list). You log in using your Mastodon account. Reddit has completely gone down the toilet in the last 5-10 years and Hacker News is way too AI-focused, so it's nice to get an alternative place to find interesting reads.

The partial eclipse itself was fine, but the true joy was participating in a massive collective experience with people from all walks of life all at the same time.

https://worksinprogress.co/issue/should-european-housing-politics-be-americanized/ Interesting take. Not sure I entirely agree, but it's true that the detached single-family homes around the city core are never discussed as targets for densification here in Copenhagen. We even have allotment gardens within the city core that are prime areas for densification as they are owned by the municipality and merely rented out. What will happen instead is that they will be sold off as absurdly...

I still stand by the fact that any piece of text containing the "😂" emoji is not worth reading*. I still haven't found a single sentence containing that emoji that I ever felt improved my life in any way. It doesn't how many YouTube/Reddit/Facebook comments I go through. * not including this toot, obviously.

I had a lot of fun implementing a SPARQL editor for DanNet. During this process I also wrote a ton of new documentation, including a SPARQL tutorial that uses the new editor for its interactive examples. The idea is, of course, to make the Danish WordNet more broadly accessible. Previously, you would have had to spin up your own RDF triplestore to query DanNet using SPARQL. https://wordnet.dk/dannet/sparql #SPARQL #DanNet #WordNet
