Person Opposing Data Center Arrested for Clapping at City Meeting. America, you are SO fucked up. #ai #tech #trump #politics https://www.404media.co/person-opposing-data-center-arrested-for-clapping-at-city-meeting/

Like many of you I currently have accounts on #mastodon AND #bluesky. I much much prefer the experience and the ecosystem here on mastodon, but many of the authors, intellectuals, sources, artists etc I want to follow are on bluesky. Also. When I share a post on bluesky I get quantity of views whilst shared on mastodon I get quality of views (ie thoughtful engagement). This leads to the irrational but real FOMO. Fear of mastodon obscurity.

For my amigos using #WordPress. I now seem to be getting all these awards and badges and activity streaks and ‘past posts on this day’ etc on my #jetpack app. I DO NOT want these things I did not ask for them. Is there a way to turn them off. #wordpress #blog #blogging #writing #socialmedia

Note to you: 1. Use an RSS reader to curate your feeds. 2. Start your own blog. 3. Generously share posts and cross link to other independent websites. 4. Read and write often. 5. Comment thoughtfully. 6. Explore liminal and boundary spaces & ideas. 7. Shun AI and break the algorithms. #writing #ai #blogging #creativity #mastodon #indieWeb #poetry

Question to the #pixelfed people out there. As I live in #australia, most of the world is asleep when I am posting my photos. Im looking for a scheduler that people can recommend so I can also drop my pics in when non aussies are watching. #mastodon #photography

I must say I’m pretty much off all #socialmedia right now. The whole ecosystem has been replaced by my website and my #RSS reader. I have over 100 feeds that I can filter from. This allows me to curate and cultivate quality #information and #entertainment without all the bullshit and #AI noise. If I want to be social. I can simply connect with the authors via their comment section or emails. And honestly sharing & liking has become way too performative anyway. Rediscover the good...

“Donald Trump’s seemingly impulsive, unplanned attack on Iran was the end result of a long, persistent campaign by many around him. The underlying currents that caused Trump to begin his war were his extensive personal pathologies combined with pressure from those who benefit politically and economically—and from those who see it as a fulfillment of prophecy” #trump #israel #iran https://www.mind-war.com/p/end-times-hunger-games-the-mythological
