I just saw a job advert by a local software company in which they were looking to hire an "AI Adoption Engineer". The job description was a bit lengthy, but the main point, apparently, was that the recruitee would be tasked with "driving" (read: selling) AI adoption within the organisation. So it seems AI is, contrary to all fears, _creating_ new jobs in IT 😄 #AI #NoAI

@mullvadnet@mastodon.online I'm all for this if there will be an #OpenWRT package complete with Luci integration for configuration. I'm currently running the "standard" WG package available for OpenWRT.

@spaf@mstdn.social Yeah, as long as that great power doesn't itself turn evil.

@dazfuller@mstdn.social Now WTF seriously? I had to literally spell the domain out loud. Yes, it really is microsoft.com and not some parody site. It's not like I ever held Microsoft in high regard but this is beyond all comprehension. Is there really no one doing any proofreading anymore? I mean, yeah they're in AI business and they use it themselves, but I wasn't aware they've literally taken hands off the wheel entirely.

@brekke@eupolicy.social Yes, the Commission indeed is a huge bureaucracy but that in part makes sure every decision is throughly thought out and justified (not necessarily _good_ from every point if view, but that's politics). Want a handful of people making decisions on a whim? Move to the US. @jarekrozanski@mastodon.social @HennaVirkkunen@ec.social-network.europa.eu

@ggus@mastodon.social I operate a tor relay, but am not familiar with this. Can I run this on the same machine with a tor relay? How much additional burden will this bring on the server? Will I need more hardware, more bandwidth?

It's all fun and games until Sauron loses an eye. (Yeah, they've been re-running the LotR trilogy on the TV around here over the weekend...)
