The Netherlands has begun putting all Israeli passengers in a different security screening line than all other world passengers and searching each one individually over a ban over products from the West Bank, something there's no way for them to tell from a baggage search. This is pure harassment and discrimination. It's gross and hatetful. https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/article-909874

I don't normally link to X, but I think this is important for people to see. When they say "Antizionism isn't antisemitism", what about staging protest outside a synagogue (not an embassy) on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar and intimidating or preventing congregants from going in to worship strikes you as acceptable behavior? https://x.com/NEWSneil/status/2102202761471291570 #Antisemitism #JewHatred #Antizionism

Everyone has the right to medical care in the UK, with the exception of Jews. Campaign Against Antisemitism has put out a film documenting various anti-Jewish abuses by NHS doctors and nurses during their care. You can watch the film on Youtube for free, and I encourage you to do so. https://antisemitism.org/caa-releases-malignant-antisemitism-in-the-nhs-documentary #UK #NHS #JewHatred

I see people boosting the Auschwitz Museum as a way of supporting Jews. I'm a third generation Holocaust survivor married to a second generation Jewish MENA refugee. The way to support Jews isn't to light a candle for my dead family members, it's to stand up against the people who threaten me and my loved ones today.

A reminder of what mastodon.scot allows on its instance. A message saying Jews control the government and that "Hitler was right" that's sat for over two years with no moderation action. Even pre-Musk Twitter would have removed it. https://mastodon.scot/@Ricko/113659070747276408 https://ghostarchive.org/archive/NcXUl #FediaAntisemitism

"I just want to go to the bus stop and not have to see this hate." Jewish Vancouverites are scared, upset and feel powerless. The police, and even the local hospital knows exactly who is vandalizing polls, terrorizing neighbourhoods and screaming hate, but they aren't taking action. As a Jewish Vancouverite, I also see some of these same things where I live, and I have been physically confronted by antisemites here. If you live in Vancouver, show your solidarity or...

Watching this video on making a "dumb device" into a smart device without calling a company, without the need for a proprietary app, etc. It's a lot of work, but this feels like just the kind of thing that makes the world a better place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpU7yZE1PkE #HomeAutomation #FreeSoftware #OpenSource #Hardware #SmartDevices #HomeAssistant

When I see someone arguing about antisemitism through the lens of politics, I know that this isn't really about antisemitism. When the framing of the discussion centers on"The issue of antisemitism will hurt the candidate" or "The issue of antisemitism will split the party." the poster is sending a signal that they see antisemitism as an issue of message and branding, rather than an issue of racism, hate, or intolerance. The person posting it is sayi...

In the 90s there was a band Deep Forest that took traditional music and remixed it with electronic beats and things. One of the ones I loved was Sweet Lullaby. When I got older, I learned that Deep Forest had some "controversies" especially around this song, where they did not get permission for its use. Sweet Lullaby is actually a Baegu lullaby called Rorogwela and it's so much more beautiful in its original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGjgLrWbIfQ #DeepForst...

This instance handles, on average, 6.5 reports of antisemitism a day. Why is that significant? It's significant because Babka already suspends individual accounts, and Limits entire instances. Despite this, we deal with ~6.5 new antisemitic accounts *per day*. And yet, if we look at the graphs from Fediverse Observer, the number of active users on the Fediverse has gone down! So what exactly does that mean, if the number of antisemitic accounts continues to grow and the number of act...

To the various people who tell me that the reason they don't boost my posts about antisemitism is because they want to stay out of "politics", let me be clear: Antisemitism isn't a political issue for me. It's the cause of most of the pain in my life. It's why I'm afraid for my family, why my wife wants to hide any signs of Jewishness from our neighbors, why my community suffers. I myself have been and continue to be targeted in multiple...

Blaming Israel for antisemitism is not merely an act of cowardice, it touches on multiple antisemitic tropes and then concludes that *any* action is justifiable: - It says that Jews living their lives in London, Australia, France or the US hold loyalty to Israel, the Dual Loyalty trope. It's a way to call Jews outsiders/intruders and not need to treat them as "real citizens" or even "real neighbors". - It holds all Jews responsible the actions of any...

Today in Montreal there are Easter marches, and governmental offices are closed Monday. Thank goodness there's been this "secularism" law passed banning "religious displays" or wearing "religious items" in Quebec.... #Quebec #Racism #Islamophobia #Antisemitism #Canada #Canpol

At around 01:40 GMT, the London Fire Brigade was called to Highfield Road, where four ambulances belonging to Hatzola were found engulfed in flames. Police have since cordoned off the area, and investigations are ongoing into what is being treated as a deliberate act of arson. Residents say they were woken by loud bangs and the glow of flames lighting up the street. This incident has raised serious concerns—not only about public safety, but about the targeting of life-saving services. https:...

About three years ago, I decided to make my own home media server. This meant buying tons of physical DVDs so I owned them, and ripping them so I had them available on my Jellyfin (media) server. The most difficult part of the process for me is ripping TV shows. It requires a lot of time and attention to figuring out episodes are which since they're often in random order on the disc. This week I started using an AI agent to do that work, and the results have been pretty great! Now I&...
