Look, I know smoking cigarettes is bad for you but having a nice pipe and reading is still something I miss from my nicotine days. I can still spend time reading, but the pipe sure did make the experience slightly "more".

Noted that the morning sunrise is VERY orange and red this morning. Thought that I should check to see if there is a local forest fire causing a bit of smoke in the air. I made the mistake of ZOOMING OUT.

Talked with my pharmacist today while getting 1/2 of my shingles vaccine about my father having shingles in the 80s and how awful it was for him. She relayed that her parents were hesitant to get it and I sympathized. It’s getting harder for people to trust things but HOLY COW! You do NOT want shingles.

A nice "back to school" hiccup with email this weekend. Unsurprisingly, the authentication bits from #Thunderbird to #Firefox don't work with #Librewolf because the entire OAuth thing is insane but whatever. Anywho ... installing Firefox for the ONETIME auth to get thunderbird to resume pulling IMAP email is something that makes me grind my teeth at night and want to throw all of civilization into the sea.

I cannot believe what a relationship improvement I gained when I got a cheapy set of blutooth earbuds for listening to my bullshit on my computer so my spouse didn't have to listen to it. I realized this was an improvement when I didn't put my headset on before playing some morning music and my spouse asked who the "yelling man" was. #music

https://www.amd.com/en/products/software/adaptive-socs-and-fpgas/vivado/vivado-licensing-options.html I'm being told that this years update removes Linux Desktop support from the free-tier. It also creates a new tier "GOLD" that is the only tier that doesn't enforce mandatory telemetry! 🤦‍♀️ 🤦 🤦‍♂️ Important: All subscription tiers of AMD Vivado™ and the AMD Vivado™ Enterprise edition includes tools telemetry turned on by default.
