The team who built the dynamic wallpaper feature in iOS should be given massive credit. These daily reminders of places we’ve been and photos of our animals are great.

Added a cheap fibreglass collinear antenna to my meshcore repeater. Supposedly a 4dB gain. But getting closer to 7. Able to get very good direct signals to repeaters 50km away.

We need to talk about the “It’s a small world” ride at Disney. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT? And why was I not stoned before I lined up. Also have I been brianwashed and will assassinate someone of I hear “it’s a small world” played again. One more time: What the fuck was that?

I had a dream I was interviewing at Facebook and when lunch arrived everyone was cheering and high fiving over the worst catered sandwich spread you’d even seen. Then when I put on the One Ring everyone at Facebook turned out to be Nazgûl. Obvious in retrospect. Make of that what you will.

Reposting this here for folks here who know Raven but don’t necessarily follow him on LinkedIn. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/ravenzachary_yesterday-i-was-diagnosed-with-stage-iv-activity-7455605135948296192-M548 Raven hired me at Excite@Home in 1999. I’ve worked with Raven many times off and on since then on various contracts and projects including helping to start his company Small Society. I have so many fond stories about working with him. My career would have looked very different if I h...

RE: https://mastodon.social/@kjhealy/116442604909330519 You don’t get this kind of job review from Trump without showering him with gifts and getting your tongue truly up his asshole. Tim Cook’s legacy is this. Nothing else matters.

Someone tell me this a horrible idea and don’t do it. Take https://github.com/schwa/MetalCompilerPlugin which allows you to use Metal in Swift packages - and configure options - AND declare metal dependencies between metal targets (kinda huge deal but not spoken about it before)… … and then hook it up to metal-dump-obj to extract the metal shader function reflection data… … and hook that data up to a Swift templating lib to generate Swift code for your metal functions… So all metal in Swift...

Feelings for NASA are complicated. Everything touched by this administration is toxic. And Artemis is a boondoggle project. But my god do NASA photographers know how to take a portrait and Koch is just magnificent.

So I took @warrenm's MetalSlug (https://github.com/metal-by-example/MetalSlug) - itself an implementation of the https://sluglibrary.com paper… Ported it to https://metalsprockets.com… Optimised it so it renders all text in a single draw call (from an original 40,000 draw calls…) And then entered the matrix? Every glyph is vector. Whoa. (Code needs a cleanup - it got messy but will put it online soon)
