    As a parent and EU citizen, @EUCommission&#39;s take on age verification worries me: - My insight: gatekeeping social media through ID-based age verification methods creates new privacy, security, and freedom-of-speech risks for ALL, but will fail protecting KIDS in any meaningful way. - Why: 1/You underestimate the chilling effect an ID-verified internet will have on trade unionists, activists, whistleblowers, and more broadly on anyone who wants to share their views online.
