@mwichary Affinity's History panel is interesting reg. your recent post. It lets you cycle different futures unlike PSD. Fun to play with!

Building some presets in @aphera, this modified 'Chronostasis' has a nice punchy saturation and depth. Works well for more contrasty shots.

A huge congratulations to @aphera for launching! I am honored to have been part of watching it come together. Truly feels like a piece of refined film development hardware brought to a digital age. Beautiful color pipeline, refreshingly fast keyboard based UX, tons of super well considered touches.

Canva buying Cavalry (unsure if it'll be free) is painting an exciting future for me as an Affinity lover. And moreso as an Adobe hater.

Vintage lenses sometimes have cemented lens groups, using Canada Balsam - from trees. It goes bad, becomes hazy, rainbowy, and needs fixing. Today we test if mineral oil can suffice as a replacement. Long term? Who knows! Right now? Yes. It somehow does. Tokina 28-70mm ATX Pro #photography #cameras #vintagelenses #repair

Kinda shocked how much lens quality matters. I forget. Left is a vintage zoom vs. a standard canon kit lens. Same focal length, aperture, etc. The sharpness is nicer, but the blur is too! Look at that smeary, smudgy canon bokeh 🥀 Tokina AT-X Pro 28-70mm 90s | Canon EFS 18-55mm (50mm, f5.6) #photography #lenses
