"The Joy Ride California" has to be the most sus thing I have been spammed about this year. They took the mailing list from #ALC and really are going for broke with shady behavior They won't name the charitable beneficiaries of the ride because... "We want to protect the agencies, the Joy Ride, and you, while preserving the opportunity to support organizations doing important work in California."

Am I doing #AI correctly? The LLM+agent decided that the right solution to a certain issue on a newer #rustlang MSRV was to vendor and patch a foundational crate. I am impressed by how absolutely insane that is.

#AI allows you to do more stupid things at once. It does not, in my observations, prevent you from doing stupid things.

I really hope Ed Ludlow is getting a sizeable bonus this year. With all the AI/tech financial news this summer he has basically been 1/3rd of the Bloomberg TV/radio programming lately. ๐๏ธ

I think Databricks and Unity Catalog are one little piece of technical debt away from _finally_ supporting S3 Access Points. (see also: why is everything pain) https://brokenco.de/2026/04/25/unity-s3-access-points.html

The Internet has very few examples floating around, but I am really keen to find a way to turn a Python script and deps into. wasm py2wasm seems dead, but newer Python versions have some semblance of qasm/wasi platform support ๐ค

Look on the bright side, managers who are susceptible to #AI hype are less likely to be results-oriented and therefore more likely value the appearance of work. Use this to your advantage.
