    @APBBlue It&amp;#39;s when faced with cheese like this that I&amp;#39;m so glad my own lactose intolerance has been defeated by simply taking lactase pills. The thought of having to do without cheese would be unbearable!

    @thomasfuchs can imagine proximity to a massive heatsink would be pretty efficient, but proximity to anyone (especially young munchkins) who has discovered that hot cookies are delicious means that no thermal adjustment post-oven is needed. Especially chocolate chip!

    Just had a Chinese takeaway blow-out with the fam and am pleasantly stuffed. Whenever we do this I am reminded of a super ex-boss of mine from many years ago who, shortly before Xmas, read the room and realised that many of the staff had family so he decided to forgo the usual &amp;quot;party&amp;quot; and instead funded each person enough to get a slap-up meal for the spouse &amp;amp; kids.
