Today I learned that if you want a proper selection of legumes you need to go to the Turkish supermarket. #ocular #theGalley https://ocular.nchrs.xyz/feed.html#260629_bohnen.jpg

Two kinds of beans, spring onions, fresh coriander, cucumber, capers, olive oil, salt, pepper and a splotch of very sour home made apricot compot. Makes for a fine breakfast. #ocular #theGalley https://ocular.nchrs.xyz/feed.html#260701_beansalad.jpg

Fell down a rabbit hole and started working on a visual editor for #memoir. Made some good progress, but damn, that layout code was challenging.

Hey everyone, a quick heads up: I will be taking down the Merveilles stickers page, as it's mostly been receiving spam lately and I don't have the capacity to maintain it at the moment. Thank you for all the donations made to riseup.net - the project managed to raise a total of ~1082 Euros! :tealheart: :merveilles:

Together with AIGHTZ and 37 degrees celcius. More swimming in the danube and social gathering than inspired painting really, but it was a fun afternoon. And they can't all be winners, after all. #ocular #theGallery https://ocular.nchrs.xyz/feed.html#260621_HITZE_AIGHTZ.jpg

I've been working on a new thing! It's a re-write of #memoir in Lua, a photo album generator to share images with friends and family when you don't want to rely on cloud solutions. In contrast to #ocular, memoir creates complete photo albums that support basic layouts and markdown, has a navigable tree structure and convenient multi-language support. #theWorkshop

I found a fairly cheap Cousances cast iron pan from the early 1900s in very good condition and it's perfect. This will be one to pass down to the grandchildren. First test run: fried tofu with mushrooms and peppers. #ocular #theGalley #theInventory https://ocular.nchrs.xyz/feed.html#260518_pan01.jpg

After a long and annoying journey, my new music player is a used 6th gen iPod classic with a new 128GB SSD harddrive. I installed Rockbox, a replacement firmware that bypasses the need for iTunes and allows custom skins for the iPod interface. #ocular #gear https://ocular.nchrs.xyz/feed.html#ipod.jpg

@occult Hey, I was just thinking that it might be useful for people if I added a way to easily migrate an existing gallery to ocular so they don't have to start from scratch or re-add all images manually. It's simple for images, as long as they are all in one directory. Captions and tags are a bit trickier though. I am pondering how I would build it. Since you already have your gallery in place, what would you need ocular to be able to parse and easily migrate the text data? A si...

I've been reading less books recently than I would like to and I find myself having difficulties making the time and focus available for them. When I stumbled across these graphic novels at the library, it re-ignited my love for the medium and I've been thoroughly enjoying them with much gusto in the past days. #ocular #theLibrary https://ocular.nchrs.xyz/feed.html#260325_graphic_novels.jpg

On another note, #ocular now automatically paginates entries with a lot of pictures, so the webring page doesn't (lazy) load over 1000 images at once - hooray! Also feeds are now stored locally and only downloaded if they changed on the server.
