Twice now my wife has ordered books for the kids and then returned them because once we got hands on, we could tell it was AI generated. Now a third book has arrived and the cover is AI generated. I haven't had time to see if the text inside is too, but if the cover is, I don't have high hopes. These aren't from the same sellers, either. What a frustrating world we live in.

Still grateful to Levar Burton for a childhood watching Reading Rainbow. Now I get to watch my kids experience the same feeling of wonder.

I was happy to see Riven through MYST V on the shelf in the latest video from @geerlingguy@mastodon.social . It's always nice to see one of my favorite series crop up again, as it seems so many are starting to forget about it.

One nice thing about having a birthday in April is that the new OS versions releases feel like birthday presents. Fedora 44 and Ubuntu 26.04? For me? Thanks dev teams, that's so kind of you.
