TIL if you use iptables together with ufw and Docker, by default Docker is going to directly communicate with iptables This is important because in this particular scenario using -p flag (ports: key in YAML) to map ports from the container to the host OS will set up ALLOW rules on all interfaces including the internet and these rules will not be displayed in ufw honestly i have no clue who the fuck thought this is a good idea but I am so glad that Docker is still utterly broken with non-1990s...

Poland is SO bad at public safety alerts A missile falls on Eastern Poland and the sirens are blasting? "We didn't send notifications with the alerting system to not cause panic" And one day later at 7am I got an ominous notification reading "Ministry of Interior: Be ready, download safety guide " Jesus fuck No explanation of why it's sent, what to be ready for exactly, nothing. This is exactly how you cause panic for no reason at all 🫩

Okay so in the past week i had an opportunity to install Windows 11 in Polish twice and dear fucking god Microsoft had a legacy of basically establishing computer-related terminology in Polish because otherwise it wouldn't exist in common language – all through Windows localization into Polish and it was actually pretty good, sure some weird phrasing happened here and there but overall it was solid and now Microsoft fully embraces machine translations everywhere, not only on their websit...
