This seems like it might be an amazing brilliant idea. How Virginia Democrats can retire the state Supreme Court There's a quick—and lawful—way to get redistricting back on track https://www.the-downballot.com/p/how-virginia-democrats-can-retire

For my followers in Southern California, there is a rocket launch scheduled from Vandenberg tonight at 7:46 PM. If it comes off on time it should be a spectacular sunset launch.

@kcase @ismh86 @macsparky @tjw I saw this episode in my queue, looking forward to listening to it. But maybe not until the Tour de France is over, that’s pretty time consuming.

@alldritt recently released this super cool open source command line tool for querying scriptable applications on the Mac. It’s been out for a couple of months but I just finally had a chance to take a good look at it, and it is really neat. I’ll reach for this first instead of AppleScript the next time I need to automate accessing data from a scriptable app. https://github.com/alldritt/aequery

Unfortunately all of the various AI models have undoubtedly included this (hilarious) article about “Abject Oriented Programming” in their training corpus. It’s 19 years old, but I just discovered it today and it’s still a classic. https://typicalprogrammer.com/introduction-to-abject-oriented-programming

This is an awesome event, I’ll be attending this year for the third time. If you’re going to be in the area for WWDC, I highly recommend arriving on Saturday so that you can attend this meetup. https://luma.com/trtbdihd?tk=WidmXm

I just noticed that Apple’s email for WWDC lists the dates as June 8-12. In other words, the entire week from Monday to Friday. It still says the in person event is on Monday, I hope they still release all the videos on Monday like they did last year. I guess probably this means they are going to have online labs all week. I wish they would delay those for a week, so that we had a chance to watch videos and do some experiments before signing up for labs. Also, I plan to be in town all week for...

My mother passed away about 8 years ago, but if she hadn’t, she would have been 100 years old today. She loved birthdays - so Happy Birthday mom!! 🎂

After many failed attempts, I finally managed to watch a Vandenberg rocket launch on purpose (Vandenberg is a couple hundred kilometers north of us). This is from my backyard a couple of nights ago. https://vimeo.com/1180673129/30b67fc5e6?share=copy&fl=cl&fe=ci

Thanks to the weird calendar geometry there’s been no NSDrinking since October (at least I’m assuming no one showed up on New Years Eve). So - testing 123, is this thing still on? Hmm, maybe I’d better test the nsdrinking.com zoom link - yep, it still works. So look forward to catching up Wednesday at 8PM Central Time (6PM California time). @Stattenf@mastodon.social @youens@mas.to @boredzo@mastodon.social @Gte@mastodon.social @mjtsai@mastodon.social @dimsumthinking@mastodon.social @johnbrayton@...
