Jim Fassett presents this album as "In this recording you will hear an orchestra of singing birds". He composed it with sounds of chirps, whistles and whistles manipulated with tape in very unexpected ways. 💽 Jim Fasset - symphony of birds [FULL ALBUM] [1960] 💽 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyqyuQlBuP8

⁂ is called an asterism. In astronomy, it refers to groups of stars in the sky, akin to constellations. We suggest that it’s a very fitting symbol for the fediverse, a galaxy of interconnected spaces which is decentralised and has an astronomically-themed name. It represents several stars coming together, connecting but each their own, without a centre. https://symbol.fediverse.info

This one was designed by amazing Mina Fina (of Ee group fame) in collaboration with the artist, and printed, glued and hand bound by our all-time collaborator Maruša Hren. Limited edition of 50 only. As always with our #Kamizdat releases, music is accessible to anyone under a #CreativeCommons lic...

so, yesterday I plugged my linuxMint laptop into Pioneer DJM900 A9 (?) dj mixer with a standard USB cable and there there were - 8 inputs, 4 stereo channels in PipeWire to which i could assign outputs from 4 decks in mixxx. this is actually a really good mixer with number of very useful effects (and beefy and rock-solid crossfader) it just means that although mixxx export to usb for Pioneer DJX players is still not possible I can still request this mixer and just plug my main laptop directly a...
