i really enjoy games as a form of creative play... i set up the sims 2 on my current linux install and i've been having fun exploring custom content and making my silly little dollhouses. that and i got petz 4 running in lutris and i kinda want to remake my catsona for that lmao

getting comfortable with speaking a new language is so fucking hard. like in general it’s very hard but. it’s Nightmare Difficulty for me because i had delayed speech development as a kid. i talk much slower than everyone else i know in my own native tongue and the idea of something else is! AAAAAAA my throat just fucking closes up. i hate it

i hung up some prints above my bed yesterday. i still need to figure out how to hang a nonstandard size nicely (i really like that art on the museum guide...) but otherwise i'm happy with it i used this guide and it made the hanging process so easy https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/how-to-create-a-gallery-wall-164792

been using noise-canceling headphones for the first time in my life. i feel like people have been telling me "dude it's worth it, especially for sensory overload" for years but holy shit: they really are great for sensory overload

i'm currently in the bay area (sf/oakland) for the next month or so and i have no idea where to buy good coffee beans. what are some local coffee roastery recs? i like going out to cafes too... but i usually make coffee with freshly ground beans in my aeropress every morning lol. starting to run low on the coffee beans i brought with me...

trying to recommend games to me is like trying to get a new toy for a cat. i'll give it a sniff and go "that's kind of neat i guess." and then go back to playing with the same beaten up toy i've been batting around for the past several years

bras are a lot like computers. it's generally better to go with wired setups if you can, because it'll give you more stability, but wireless is OK too.

current linux setup: Kubuntu with this theme (https://store.kde.org/p/1338879/) applied and tweaked a bit. i'm trying out the light-to-dark mode lifestyle out, because i've been honestly enjoying that over on macOS. still on Kubuntu because... eueuuughh i'm too used to Debian based distros lol. with snap ripped out, it's fine.
