Watching a presentation on clearing PDFs off your site, and the presenters tell us they used to have 972 PDFs on their site. I quickly did a find ./uploads -iname "*.pdf" | wc -l and guess how many PDFs are on my institution's website?

If you ever have a choice between going flying over your handlebars and landing on pavement and getting road rash and breaking your wrist badly enough to need surgery to insert some titanium, or not doing that, I recommend NOT. Learn from my mistakes, is what I'm saying. (I'm home now, recovering.)

There's a definite chutzpah to an "ai" company using a video clip of someone kayaking through icy waters as an ad, considering they're helping melt that ice

The application's in and the money's paid: in a month (hopefully) I'll be doing a sandan → yondan test, which will involve ju-no-kata as tori and katame-no-kata as uke, and a bunch of other techniques. Wish me luck!
