  Slowly getting into the rhythm of #travel, unfortunately it’s only a week long ‘taster’ of #Ireland. Never been before properly and I already know I should return for a longer trip. Today: the ferry to Inishbofin island. That may be a tautology, I suspect Inish to mean Island (confirm?). Knowing the wonderfully strange film The Banshees of Inishirin… Now, off to the ferry! #Connemara

Ik lees hier dat het niet alleen de ‘sociale’ media zélf zijn die een broedplaats zijn van haat, misinformatie en rechts extremisme… maar dat hetgeen dat ze vervangen, de dorpspleinen, de koffietenten, de bibliotheken en de biljartclubs op zichzelf ook een matigende rol vervullen. Meningen worden minder extreem als je elkaar in de ogen moet kijken als je ze uit (zeg ik als niet-socioloog). Maar...
