This recent article by @bramus announces a new web component, that is built on top of two superb exciting modern APIs. • CSS Custom Highlight API • OpaqueRange API These two will change the way we build for the web. This post is really worth reading. https://www.bram.us/2026/09/14/introducing-rich-input-a-github-like-search-filter-text-input-to-embed-on-your-site/ #web #css #html

Adding OpenTelemetry to your Go project has never been easier. No more complicated setups and no more manual instrumentation needed. All you need is to build your binary using the new `otelc` CLI and it will enable auto-instrumentation. https://opentelemetry.io/blog/2026/go-compile-time-instrumentation-v1/ #golang #opentelemetry

Hey all CSS wizards. I need your help. I would love this bg pattern to be squares instead of little circles (radial-gradient). Is that even possible using pure CSS? https://codepen.io/pawelgrzybek/pen/OPbVNgN I have seen that on the ATProto website, but they use SVG for it. https://atproto.com @kevinpowell @css @bramus @chriscoyier 🙏 #css

I checked SoundCloud feed after years of not using it. I was wondering about some new releases of producers I follow there. I would like to report that SoundCloud on the free plan is absolutely not usable. The amount of super long and obtrusive adverts is insane. Insane! Don't blame them, they need to make money somehow, but UX needs to be there... Now it is just a radio for ads to me.

A little bit of history (ok, quite a lot of history) and the introduction of the new "auto" value for "sizes" for responsive images. I knew that the CSS :nth-child(n of selector) is a thing, but I didn’t know how well supported it is nowadays. Another thing I didn’t know is that I can use CSS nesting with it like in the example below. Modern CSS is incredible ❣️ https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Reference/Selectors/:nth-child#of_selector_syntax_vs_selector_nth-child #css
