    Have you ever thought about what it must be like in space? That shit is scary. We take for granted that we have an atmosphere to disperse light, as well as a ground for light to reflect off of. In space, some shit could be right in front of you and you would have no idea. If there were an asteroid between you and the sun, you wouldn’t realize until it was so close that there was a huge black spot covering the sun up.

    We need bots, automations… I don’t know… we need a new category called “telemetry jammers.” If the tools existed, I’m almost certain people would not mind running them. Spam the hell out of telemetry sensors of all kinds, with random data… destroy the usefulness altogether. The more spam, the fewer people we actually need to participate. The more transparent to the actual user, the better.

    Honestly, it’s a culture I can get behind. Lower ewaste, reduce the product cycle to something greater than a year, encourage more hobbies and less consumerism, … people will flock toward things that last, which is a market that can use some love.

    I hope all of this leads to a huge swing in popular opinion that data surveillance has the same potential as home surveillance, meaning that by monitoring the data of the average person across platforms — you can reach the same conclusions as you would by taking tenancy in their home to monitor their livelihoods.     I keep dual boot with Windows available for my wife. About a year ago my Fedora install was stuck in a boot loop and I hadn’t used my PC in a good while, nor updated anything the last time I had used it. The only conclusion I can think of is either bitflips corrupted the boot process, or Windows fucked with my Fedora install at some point while — perhaps my wife’s activity allowed a Windows update through, I don’t know.
