Fuck I’mabout to have to put my favourite kitty to sleep. Had her for 17 years and she’s had cancer for the past 4 years at least. Just gave them their dinner and she immediately stopped. Tried to run off to drimk some water and started wobbling and falling over. Just gave her some whipped cream which is her favourite and she ar leadt at that. She’s purring like crazy here but her breathing is sounding laboured. I knew this day was closebut fuck. 💔

If these two people were still calling shots over at PlayStation, I would still be a fan. They were responsible for some of the best times between PS4 and Vita. And both ended up being shoved to the side by the same pos ceo. Shu stuck around after being demoted and still did some great work, but things never went back to how they were thanks to the greed and stupidity of Jim Ryan and co. https://www.ign.com/articles/former-playstation-execs-recreate-iconic-disc-sharing-xbox-diss-without-the-...

Now that Double Fine is independent again, I’m seeing more and more hit pieces on them as a whole and Tim Schafer as an individual. Some truly vile shit being thrown around now that they are no longer part of Xbox and got to take all of their work and IPs with them. These dipshits would have rather seen Xbox close them down than let them buy themselves out. Just goes to show how utterly rotten that fanbase is. Not that it really surprises me after being amongst them for many years and seei...

After clearing that Picross page, I ended up playing Eschatos for the rest of the night. Returning to this timeless classic felt so great. Although I haven't put much time into the Switch version yet, as I had the Japanese 360 version and then the PS4 one. Sadly this is the only game Qute trilogy that made it to Switch, at least it's my favourite by far. It's a vertical STG with wave based enemies. Downing a wave will net you a score bonus. It's a very straight forward setup, b...

Little Japanese question again. I've been having a bit of trouble with sentences that use subordinate clauses, mostly because of the structure of these sentences and how they feel very different from the standard sentence structure you learn early on. For whatever reason, this past week they have just started making sense, most likely by getting much more exposure to them and also not trying to translate them in my head, which kinda breaks my brain and the structure falls apart when you do...

Well, this took quite a bit to set up. But since these are my final days of my summer vacation I decided to get it over with and not keep putting it off as it’s too much of a hassle. The wiring mess alone took like sn hour. 😭 Perhaps not final since I couldn’t find my Japanese Mega Drive, so I must have mislabeled it. But I disconnected my PS5 pro and PS3 as well and put them into storage as won’t be playing them anytime soon. And replaced them with a couple better systems, including one t...

So I’ll definitely have te scan it and add it to the release.

Review for Mario & Luigi Partners in Time on Nintendo DS. Taken from Nintendo Official Magazine 162 - February 2006 (UK) (part 1/2) I really wish Nintendo bought Alpha Dream when they were in trouble. This team made such wonderful games, it's such a shame we lost them... Feature titled The Rise and Fall of Nintendo. Taken from Cube 32 - June 2004 (UK) Just goes to show that Nintendo has always been doomed, even before the rise of Youtube shit-stirrers and doomers, who leach of the company they hate, by making money off of constantly talking thrash about it and people clicking those awful thumbnails. 🤡 This issue can be downloaded here: https://www.outofprintarchive.com/catalogue/Cube.html #retroGaming #nintendo #GameCube

Final big import package is here. This one is from Tradergames, also from France. Finally got my hands on a copy of Eiyuden Chronicles Rising for a decent price, although they misplaced the cart, so it took a while longer before they could ship everything out. Got two mystery visual novels for the Dreamcast, which should help me with my studies and keep things interesting. Both are actually still shrink-wrapped, which surprised me. Then we got Shutokou Battle or Tokyo Xtreme Racer on PSP by...

She gets a ton of hate, mostly from the gamer gate types, but Alanah consistently nails it and brings insight to the table which hardly anyone else does, at least of what I've seen. The point about people either financing their brand new games by selling the ones they finished, or even being able to play new games thanks to the second hand market are the ones Sony is leaving behind with their new policy. Also the CEO's are laser focussed on engagement numbers, monthly active users and...

Just had to rip my filtration pump out of my pond and disassemble it, because the technician they are sending doesn't had the equipment to empty the hole where the water has been flowing since yesterday after his companion broke the pipe connection... So that's my responsibility I guess since I have to drain it and I'm sure as fuck ain't draining 500 liters of water by hand with a bucket in this weather. So I did what any reasonable person would do and ordered a couple Japanese...

Ah. Great strategy! I was getting more games on PS5 instead of Switch 2 due to the whole game key debacle. But stopping production of discs entirely? If I have to choose beween digital only on Nintendo, that’s an easy choice to make. I guess the whole Xbox thing collapsing in on itself is making them feel they can do anything and we’ll accept it with a smile on our face. https://blog.playstation.com/2026/07/01/physical-disc-production-ending-in-january-2028-for-new-games-releasing-on-playst...

Just Finished Star Fox. Still just as fun as it was 30 years ago. I did have way too much trouble than I’d like to admit with the final two stages though! And now I’d love to see a Wave Race 64 remake in this fashion even more. 😭

Still need to watch the final half hour of last night’s state of play. No idea what’s the consensus on this one as I’m betond tired of the endless negativity around each and every game presentation, so I can only speak for myself, but wow, this has been incredibly impressive so far. Lots of games I want to put on my wish list.

Starting to realise more and more just how much Kanji actually helps me with remembering new words instead of just trying to remember them with repetition, be that in audio or flashcard form. Especially with a site such as jpdb.io Came across the word 字幕 (jimaku/subtitles) this weekend. remembering it it's all that difficult, but when looking at the kanji and seeing it as letter+curtain makes so much sense and incredibly easy to remember as well as read more words that incorporate the...

continued tonight with more classic Capcom goodness on the Saturn. I have to be careful or I keep playing way too long, just like last night and I would definitely suffer for that tomorrow as I've been incredibly tired all day today. Went with one of my favourites: X-Men vs Street Fighter. Absolutely love this one and I forgot that the roster is still relatively small. We're really been spoiled over the years... Melted Apocalypse and then moved on to Marvel Super Heroes vs Stree...

Not been having the greatest time as of late with way too much stress going on and I need to be careful as to not let it spiral out of control again, so I've been distracting myself with something that has always been my happy place since 1997: Sega Saturn. Went digging through my boxes for these as I never thought I'd scan them, since "how many people besides me care about Japanese magazines, and Saturn ones at that?". But you know what? Screw it. I'm...

About 14 hours into Gundam Breaker and I got my first purple drop. And it’s a pair of Zaku II arms. 😂 Back to using Zaku parts I guess. Just look at that stat boost. Might have to switch up weapons though as my big sword approach might be getting a little slow.
