@xandowsk @Oregon_Pacifist I've heard of it but never used it. I'll look into it. Thanks

I installed #xubuntu 26.04 over the weekend on my janky Beelink mini PC. Great to see it running incredibly stable and all the old issues I had on 25.10 are gone. #vivaldi runs video content perfectly, which previously lagged or just didn't play at all. My A/V KVM works without USB dropouts. Now I need to get my #retropi config setup but hopefully that goes well too. A great release! ๐Ÿ‘

@AestheticFemboy @KitKat @RetroCozy I get it with movies. It feels like a chore to dedicate most of an evening to one. Yet I find it pretty satisfying when I do. As long as the movie was good... Loved DBZ back in the day, but also watched all of Sailor Moon too. The 'recent' Viz dubs were great.

I know it's not retro, and I'm a little late to the party, but really enjoying returning to Racoon City in Resident Evil Requiem. My first 'proper' game I ever played was Resident Evil 2 so it feels like a homecoming of sorts. Still working my way through the game but enjoying the nostalgia more than from RE2 remake in a way.

So third time's the charm, I've deployed a new #selfhosted Mastodon instance - on a VPS this time for reliability. My handle is @pete. Hope you guys don't mind if I follow you from that account too. Totally understand if you don't follow back. This will be for more general posts. I'll still post #retrogaming content here. Especially once I get a capture card sorted.

@AestheticFemboy @pete Thanks dude, certainly not leaving here as it's a great community. This is more my hobby project and allows me to customise discovery a lot more with relays.

Now I have RetroArch running properly it's time to finally play Resident Evil Zero for the first time. I remember seeing a friend play it back in the early 2000s and wishing I had a GameCube! Better late than never!

@AestheticFemboy I think the longest game I ever waited for after its original release was Bahamut Lagoon, when it eventually got an English translation.
