"Vuelvo para Vivir" by Illapu #History #JukeboxFridayNight #11-09-1973 #53years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc852MTrbZU Vuelvo a casa, vuelvo compañera. Vuelvo mar, montaña, vuelvo puerto. Vuelvo sur, saludo mi desierto. Vuelvo a renacer, amado pueblo. Vuelvo, amor vuelvo. Vuelvo,...

My approach to #rstats environments: once a year or once every year-and-a-half I install a new version of R, so I install all the packages again. That's my new environment.

Thinking of how insanely complicated we have made using computer languages. I'm particularly thinking of low-barrier scripting languages in the late 1990s (Perl, Python, Javascript, R, ...). Very few people use Perl today, Python and Javascript are dependencies dumpster fires, and R is likely the easiest to install and maintain these days. Programming feels broken.

Why do companies play music while one waits on a call? Most of the time it sounds incredibly compressed and distorted. It plays havoc with my so so hearing.

I'm almost sure that the first LP I ever bought was Van Halen's 'Women and Children First' in December 1980. I was visiting Chile and I went to a music shop in Providencia (Circus, perhaps?). I was between this album and Iron Maiden (1980), because I loved the latter's LP graphic.

'Summer dinner time', Christchurch, New Zealand This has been one of my highest risk ever street photos. Bird crap was falling all over while I took the series of images.
