Is there a pattern/name for a concept of a "lens" or "specification" pre-applied to a persistence repository? Thinking, roughly: ```php interface SuperSecretStuffRepository { function find(SomeId): VeryImportant; } interface FilterForUser { function apply(User, SuperSecretStuffRepository): SuperSecretStuffRepository; } ``` It certainly is some sort of decorator. Pseudo-code is #php

Time for some shameless self-advertisement: I have some availability starting this September! I'm an experienced OSS maintainer, with lots of work done on @doctrine@phpc.social and @getlaminas@phpc.social I push for #DDD (with humans & tactical). Languages mostly #Go, #PHP, although I'd love to do some #Rust, and I read anything at all. First time very-long-range #driving an #EV: * charged to 100% for free (solar/PV) over the last 3 days, before departing * charging stations are surprisingly simple yet awesome tech * the UI/UX sucks as much as that of petrol stations ๐Ÿ™„ * ABRP for planning upfront: 1 minute to do it, zero range anxiety * costs for quick charging are slightly lower than petrol * hotels usually offer free charging with the parking ticket * EV is so much smoother So far, everything feels like an upgrade.

Well, I guess Harvest is dead? What's a good self-hosted time tracking software? Should I just use a spreadsheet?

Successfully delivered a software project to a client today: too bad to see them go, but they were very happy and positively impressed with the final result. In other news, if you need me to design a software system, please do feel to reach out :-)

My automated CI process just took 5 minutes to synchronize my monthly time logs from my spreadsheet to Jira. That's a machine, performing sub-second API calls. Now imagine how much time it would've taken to do it by hand ๐Ÿ™€

This is Tommy. Tommy is going into intensive care for an intestinal illness that is prevented by a vaccine. Tommy was vaccinated 2 days ago, the week after being adopted, but he was already infected by that time. Tommy now has a 40% chance of surviving. Get vaccinated, vaccinate your kids, vaccinate your pets. I'll kick you in the gonads if you don't.

Intesa Sanpaolo is such a joke bank: 1. moves all customers from their bank to a new "isybank" company, with minimum to no notification (I managed to dodge that because I happened to talk to a bank employee for another reason) 2. QR codes on their homepage, linking to their app: I AM ON YOUR HOMEPAGE, YOU IDIOTS, USE HTML LINKS.

Went to the doctor's office this morning. Observed: * parking in places I didn't consider possible * people accidentally dropping glassware in a parking lot, then driving over it, without picking it up, leaving in haste to "not be noticed" * people dropping trash on the ground in an entrance room * young people coughing up a lung and sneezing in the presence of elderly people * people parking in the middle of the entrance ramp of a parking lot I am now convin...
