So why do conservatives and facist like Star Trek, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and else? It's weird, but there is an explanation. #startrek #starwars #conservatism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyrlfvAN-kA

Based on this article, I cranked up Liquid Glass to max as well. Wish me luck. Luckily I'm already almost blind. No damage done. #liquidglass https://www.wired.com/story/my-week-of-transparent-living-with-apples-more-clear-liquid-glass-setting/

Actually interesting to see from the Developer perspective how Valve extends SteamOS. They just removed the old IsRunningOnSteamDeck() API in favour of IsRunningOnSteamHardware(). It feels like they slowly come after The other big player and that they just play the long term and eventually will surprise their competitor. #steammachine #valve https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamworks/announcements/detail/678504885369439021

That Elon Musk interview… wild. And then Laura Loomer in Ukraine discovering that Ukraine is in war, and Putin is killing innocent people. It just shows how distorted the view across the sea is.

Wild that Brazil introduced, with huge success, an alternative to Visa and MasterCard, and now Trump is going to sanction Brazil with a 25% tariff for it. Free market, my ass. You can see how the soft power of the U.S. is slowly melting. The entitlement that Visa and MasterCard deserve 1% of every transaction is outrageous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSlnS4cYEUs

Sony is killing the Game Disc. Remember Sony making fun of Xbox because its so easy to share a game disc. Bye bye Sony. I'm out. Especially since they just prooved that they just delete things out of your digital library. Wild how fast they turned after the competition went away. #playstation #entshittification #videogames https://www.theverge.com/games/960160/sony-playstation-disc-production-ending

It looks like Ukraine will win the war, and suddenly the MAGA Government takes sides with Ukraine. (remember you dont have the cards) I hope Ukraine will never forget who really supported them and who were false friends all along. (they probably just want something) #ukraine https://newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/united-states-officially-takes-ukraine-s-1782415851.html

Who wants AI music? Mostly those looking to exploit streaming revenue that was meant for real artists. It’s that simple. #music #ai https://www.theverge.com/column/921599/ai-music-is-flooding-streaming-services-but-who-wants-it

Fediverse, I could use your advice. I’m thinking about building a small music streaming device. The idea: an ultra-low-power Raspberry Pi with Wi-Fi and audio out, that also works as a small file server for FLAC. I’d like to run AirPlay, Spotify Connect, and MPD. Budget is around €50 (excluding storage). Is this realistic? If yes, what do I need? #rasberrypi

„Meta employees are up in arms over a mandatory program to train AI on their mouse movements and keystrokes“ Meta goes the extra mile to get rid of their employees and to replace them with AI. „Safeguards“ probably means we do the lowest effort that is expected by law (or might break it and ask for forgiveness) which is already pretty low in the US. It’s wild that they can just force this upon their employees. https://www.businessinsider.com/meta-new-ai-tool-tracks-staff-activity-sparks-conce...

@nicklockwood It reminds me a little bit when people thought that music labels would protect artists since they fought in the past for copyright protection. But now these labels are negotiating licensing fees to train on their catalogue. They just go where the money is and their catalogue is just an asset.

Pretty annoying to see how the mobile app space (like all the rest) has mostly become a pay-to-win market. I know now from several people how their ad spending is linear with their revenue. Like spending 100k€ in Meta Ads to make 150k€ revenue. Is it that simple? Just give Mark money and you will be successful? #indiedev

Man idk. This gets out of hand. Same with thinking that LoC equals value. Where do they get all the capital to burn? Will VC money just turn into a money pipeline for OpenAI and Anthropic? I've also seen cases where OpenClaw randomly burns several thousand dollars because of a never ending loop. Btw they also take checks?
