The harshest punishment for committing Ecocide should include a trip to Venus via Unst spaceport. Yes the 2 ferry trips to Unst from Shetland count as part of the punishment.

I used to be disgusted by the sheer amount of bugs that would fly in through an open window at night, now I feel grateful to any visitor passing through at all. I don’t think enough people are terrified of the permanent impact our species has had on this planet. If my relatively short life has witnessed: record heatwaves, the decline of insects and the warming of the oceans, I’m petrified of what the future will bring.

I wonder how many candidates standing for the Scottish Parliament are on the fediverse already? Is it just 2? Aware of @maggiechapman & @katenevens who are part of @ScottishGreens and their various branches on here. Are there any more active accounts for candidates? Edit: @iaruffell too! (Thanks jben!) #politics #scotpol #ukpol #uk #scotland

RE: https://mastodon.scot/@ScottishGreens/116302143566624423 I really hope to see Laura Moodie elected to Holyrood this term. South of Scotland, you know what to do! #VoteGreen #scotpol #scotland #uk #ukpol

RE: https://mastodon.scot/@nr/115615446138812458 3 months on & the Green Party has grown to 216k members. Not due to corporate funding, polluters or pandering to the racist press, but folk determined to put Hope back on the ballot box. They’re on track to become the largest party in the U.K. by membership. Their peak before Zack Polanski was 63k members in 2015. The magnitude of the growth is groundbreaking. #greens #ukpol #scotpol #politics #uk #elections

Transport #Scotland is running a virtual exhibition room for the public to respond on what to do with the Woodside Viaduct: https://www.pinpointcloud.co.uk/M8WoodsideViaducts/ Please check out the proposals and let them know of your preferred solution. Option 3 involves removing the ageing & expensive structure and reconnecting the neighbourhoods ripped apart by the motorway, it’s the only way to go in my eyes. #scotland #glasgow #transport #urbanism #uk #scotpol #ukpol #travel
