There's something super cringe and super performative about a person who is white, using "white" as a descriptor to mean someone or something bad.

Just finished my first full playthrough on my new #PCgaming setup. In earlier posts I've talked about how and why I've switched from #PS5 and am using #HeroicGamesLancher with games from #GOG. The game - the 2025 remake of #Amerzone The Explorer's Legacy - played without a hitch. Beautiful game, and I enjoyed it very much :) 🧡 🧡 🧡 #gaming #DRMfree #LinuxGaming #AMD #GOG #AdventureGames

I don't think it should be controversial to recognize or state that far-right Islamist assholes and far-right neo-nazi assholes are both bad. Viewing everything through an oppressor-oppressed lens is too simplistic. Fuck all regressives, regardless of their majority or minority status. The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend and all that. #CSD #Berlin #LGBTQ #hate

I've noticed lately, especially over on reddit, a huge wave of negativity towards #linuxmint I swear at least some of it has to be some sort of psyop. In any case, most of it is FUD. As a side note, Arch users: it's great that you like Arch. But the evangelism and shitting on everything else is tiring. Touch grass. #Linux

The cityscape outside my window is incredibly hazy and yellow-orange with wildfire smoke. Windows are all closed of course but I can still smell and taste it. This is fucked up. I'm worried about my partner and our cats but there's nothing we can do. #wildfires #smoke #ClimateChange #Ontario

Ok so I've gotten some good advice on my last post.....again, I've never built a #PC before, I have a strong preference for #AMD and I'll be running #Linux on it. Yeah I know prices are stupid rn, but how is this looking? #gaming https://newegg.io/65abab72

Trimmed down my #retrogaming library today. I'm a player, not a collector, so there's no purpose in having lots of ROMs that I don't really care about; it's just distracting more than anything. I also cleaned up a lot of my #RetroArch settings and configs.

@matrix@mastodon.matrix.org Assuming this is showing people deleting their accounts, I'm in this picture! Honestly forgot I even had one, but today's news reminded me, lol.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm so sick of Americans and their politics, especially the way they insert themselves in every conversation.

Over the years since I started social #transition and HRT, I've learned a lot about #hair. And the main thing I learned, that I wish I had learned quicker, was that my hair looks best *short*. Longer hair doesn't make me look more feminine, it just looks weird on me. I should have maybe realized this when looking at my cis female family members, and seeing that all of them have short or very short cuts. Even in her younger years my Mom would have looked bizarre with long hair. #...

Star Wars Episode 1: Racer - loved this game on #N64 when I was a kid, have played it a lot on #Dreamcast (emulation) the last decade or so, and just now I've bought the upscaled, widescreen #PS4 version on sale for $7.99 CAN! It plays soooo smooth and the widescreen is great :) :) :) https://store.playstation.com/en-ca/product/UP1032-CUSA18198_00-STARWARSPODRACER #PS5 #onsale #gaming #retrogaming

It's stupid that a game like Curse of Monkey Island (which runs through #ScummVM) is only offered for Windows and Mac on #GOG and #Steam storefronts. Because.....ScummVM isn't exclusive to those platforms. So I have to let #Heroic or #Lutris install the game using Wine/Proton, and then run the game with the bundled copy of Windows ScummVM. I can copy the necessary files (Resources folder and three others) to another folder, and then add the game with my #Linux copy of ScummVM...

I've uninstalled #Lutris and replaced it with #Heroic. What sucks though is that unlike Lutris and #Steam, Heroic doesn't bundle runtimes for older #Linux games, so now I have to run the Windows versions of those games through #Wine #Proton. And maybe it's just me, but running the Windows version of anything when there's already a Linux version irks me. I tried using #Distrobox containers to run those games, but I must be doing something wrong 'cause that...

Going to remember what's served me well for years with a minimum of headache: current and current-ish gen games on console, older games on computer with emulators (and #ScummVM and #DOSBox). Really I just need to pick up a #PS3 sometime and I'm set. #gaming #retrogaming #PS5 #PS4
