I didn't need a wifi card, just to connect my device via USB-C and use it as a USB modem.

What's next after the Gulf of America and Lake America? You better believe it - The Atlantic Ocean? That's woke shit. It's now the America Ocean. The Pacific? You better believe it - also the America Ocean.

Hace cerca de un mes que vivimos en Ávila, pero ayer fue primera vez que subimos las murallas. Al atardecer, sin mucho tiempo para mirar. Habrá que volver. #Ávila

sigh There's godawful air quality, thick smoke, and the wind forecast does not seem to offer much respite. So, we're packing our bags and heading over to stay with family in Madrid.

Spent the past few years as a car-hater in the USA, but since I plan to live in a remote-ish area of Spain, I'll need a car. So I'm looking at used EV's in Europe, that won't be crazy expensive, and also will allow me to go from a remote area to a city now and then (circa 200km one way). Anyone got recommendations? #EV

I havn't seen that many recently (I suspect due to editorial censorship), but in the past few years news of climate-change caused crop failures have been increasing, and I'm sure they will continue. RE: https://m.ai6yr.org/users/ai6yr/statuses/116907607988849161

Optimizing solar panel orientation for winter production comes down to placing them facing south at a very steep angle (Between 60º and 90º, depending on location). On top of that, solar panel performance is linearly correlated with temperature - the colder, the better they perform. So, I'm not surprised these high-mountain, high-tilt arrays are doing better than the ones in the valleys. It's a nice project. RE: https://mastodon.social/users/ameel/statuses/116876206535102801

You know that movie trope of flashing a fake badge quickly to fool someone into thinking you are a cop? A lot of "startups" are just assholes quickly flashing badges for non-viable technologies and hoping no one looks too close or understands what they are doing.

I've been deleting my online profiles to try to get a bit of privacy. Theres a website called ContactOut that scrapes public profiles and creates copies on their website. Just had to send a take down request for a profile of mine I'd never agreed to. Fucking bastards.

Cuando me fui de España en 2022 pensaba que era obvio que todos los partidos Españoles estaban copiando lo que se hiciera y dijera en EEUU. Veo que siguen en lo mismo. RE: https://mastodon.social/users/elmundotoday/statuses/116719514170993160
