  An idea for business. The drinking establishment, named “The Progress Bar.” The visitor must buy some alcohol upfront and there is no way for them to buy more afterward. The customers are given with a device, showing their today’s consumption as a—yes—progress bar. Once it reaches 100%, the customer gets kicked out by a bouncer. If they want to settle before getting to 100%, the customer gets a stamp with indelible ink, saying “loading aborted” on their forehead.

  I’m pretty sure that if the person have never read any of Raymond Chandler’s novels, there are next to zero chances they can write in rich English. Same applies to Andrei Platonov and Russian. Same for Jorge Luis Borges and Spanish.
