I'm a DIY hobbyist game developer making traditional experiences, with a focus on RPGs. My new dungeon crawler, Minerva Labyrinth, is out now!

I'm just doing my best to create more old-school games. All of my games are built by hand, not by AI.

Discoverability is a problem for players, too, not just developers. I spend a lot of time looking for underrated indie RPGs on Steam and Itch, but it frustrates me that I can't bring more attention to them. What is the best way to share those games with people who are looking for them? #IndieGames #IndieGame #VideoGames

I'm disappointed. Some "anti-woke" Steam curator mass-dumped games into their list for participating in the nonbinary-coded games event, but they didn't include mine. Sloppy work.

This might be contentious, but I would actually appreciate it if RPGs with "romance paths" either require the player to VERY explicitly initiate those storylines, or just have a toggle to suspend them from triggering. Like buddy, I know I helped you raid the Tomb of Al'Septa, but I wasn't proposing marriage. It just really creeps me out to be put in that position by the computer in the first place when that's not why I'm playing, to the point w...

I give up. I know damn well there are underrated indie RPGs waiting for me to give them a chance, but Steam does everything it can to stop me from finding them.

I made a small mod for Might & Magic X to fix a lot of playability issues and a few bugs. This isn't a balance or content mod, but I think it makes the game play a lot more smoothly. Increasing the movement speed was at the top of my list. https://www.nexusmods.com/mightandmagicx/mods/20 #MightAndMagic #CRPG #Modding

There is never enough time for game dev, because game dev will just consume as many hours as I can throw at it. #IndieDev #GameDev

Only one more review to reach Steam's visibility threshold. If you've played Minerva Labyrinth and have thoughts, would you consider leaving one? #IndieDev #GameDev #MinervaLabyrinth

I'm off this week, and I spent most of it putting this update together. I've been wanting to revisit and refine some skill mechanics for a while, but I needed a break and some distance from launch to get into the right head space for it. #IndieDev #GameDev #SoloDev #MinervaLabyrinth https://midnightspiregames.itch.io/minerva-labyrinth/devlog/1455972/v107-skill-balance-enhancements

Unity is actually an excellent engine for advertising Godot. I'm just kidding. It's honestly a very good product for me to poop on. All joking aside, I do still think that Unity is a good solid choice for a beginner to avoid.
