What you’ve never heard of the town guy? The traditional effigy burnt during celebrations on the 5th of November?

Yes, but consider, if I thought about it that way, I’d also have to accept that people might recognize my username between posts/comments and form an opinion of me. And that opinion might be that I’m dumb and mean, and that is the most horrifying eternal torture I can conceive of. Ergo, I’m going to pretend that those are just number that appear and that people have as much name blindness as I do.

The difference between oven temperature and room temperature is too high for it to be efficient. Like, a fridge is maybe cooling things 30F (~15C) maybe 50 (~25) for the freezer. An oven goes to like 500F 260C, so it would have to maintain a heat differential of like 430 (~215) degrees. Like, it’s just less efficient than a resistive coil at that point.

“It’ll make costs go up! It’ll cause inflation! It’ll cause a wage price spiral!” NEWS FLASH! minimum wage hasn’t risen for over a decade and yet prices have risen faster than they did when we *did* raise minimum wage. Almost like, cheap minimum wages allows for more capital consolidation, and that in turn makes it easier for cartels, oligopolies and monopolies to form to enforce larger margins on low elasticity goods.
