Memory is being hoarded by the same 10-ish companies in order to build data centers for cloud infrastructure and AI. As a result, the cost of building or buying a computer or server has increased exponentially. Because of this, a business who may have purchased a server previously now has to rent cloud space from the very companies that caused the shortage. Same with consumers who now may have to rely on cloud services as they cannot afford computer that can preform that task otherwise. You may...

I ordered a new microphone a while ago and I guess the dude who packed the order at the distribution warehouse fucked up because they just slapped a label onto the stock box it came in and shipped it to me. So I ended up getting two microphones.

my biggest issue when it comes to sleep is when my desired sleep time *does* come, even when i am somewhat tired and capable of sleeping, i still have enough energy and/or willpower to continue working or be productive and this will become noncompliant with any treatment protocol that aims to phase advance my sleep schedule:neocat_googly_woozy: it's a really bad combination because i either feel like i haven't done enough work or haven't been productive enough, or feel...

I was dealing with a customer yesterday who told me they needed a computer that could run a lockdown browser for college. I read through the spec requirements for the lockdown browser and it required a quad core CPU with 2.4GHz on a Mac if it is Intel, and for some reason that class *requires* a Mac :neocat_googly_woozy: The quad core requirement makes every single 13 inch MacBook model incompatible with this software, and over half of 15 inch MacBook Pros are also incompatible with this softwa...
