On a quick break at work. Since I have closed my pixelfed and loops accounts over ai #slop concerns, I'll share things here instead. Don't know what kind of flowers these are, but they're pretty. #Bloomscrolling #pnw #Oregon

I feel like I just violated some sort of international treaty by steaming frozen #veggies on top of rice in a rice cooker. But then again, I used to think green beer bottles had green beer in them when I was in my early 20s.... soooo... yea...

In the last 20 minutes, I've been seeing a fair number of posts that include messages that focus on #love. Love for self, others, the #environment. Any of the big #corpo #SocialMedia platforms wouldn't let this trend because their business model is betting on engagement from the darkest places the human heart and mind can muster. But not here. And that is one thing I love very much.

  * In a David Attenborough voice * #nimbus waited out of sight from the hooman that claims the big comfy office chair, knowing that the hooman won't stay there forever. In a mere matter of seconds, Nimbus moved in with precision and speed for his prize. In the blink of an eye, the hunt was over and his hooman had discovered this betrayal. Usurped and humiliated, hooman is now wandering aimlessly from this stunning defeat.." #caturday #myfavoritechair #sneakytraitor

In the next 10 years, Rob Zombie's career will fizzle out since he's trapped himself into a caricature of his own making. However, he will only fade away briefly... And then, as if fate itself manifested it from some twisted divinity.... he will assume his rightful place... Peddling overpriced crap from Spirit of Halloween... #CrappyMicroFiction #Halloween

I just killed off my #Bluesky account today. I started out on it about a month ago to see what things were like over there. At first, it briefly felt nostalgic to me; I was having memories of 2007-2010 twitter when it wasn't blatantly corporate. But, that feeling faded kinda quickly when I encountered Bluesky's algorithm. I was seeing the effect it had on users; there was an urgency for attention, jockeying for the quickest take on the trending topic, and the underlying quest for endle...

Use #pixelfed or #loops? Hate #ai? Can you guess where this is going? Pixelfed has embraced the dark side a few months back, but this this recent git commit got attention: https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/commit/65dff00e4fdf06be87e1122420d2ffec1d21f8a7 I brought up loops because it will probably get #sloppified as well. The #fediverse deserves better than this.

#Luna has been fighting a nap all day for some inexplicable reason. Alas, the sandman (sand dog?) has won. Hope you all have a good night's sleep. * EDIT: forgot the picture lol #DogsOfFedi #dogsofmastodon

So, today I'm on a mission. I've had my #adderall, therefore this is not a side quest. I have decided that I can't really trust #veganrecipes I keep finding online. In the past week alone I've found myself making some horrid shit that I had no choice but to eat. Even if the food does grow on trees (<-- lazy vegan pun), the money does not. So, I'm installing https://kitchenowl.org/ on my #homelab server and will be taking control of this. Like seriously y'all, I can&#3...

Hey... I feel #outoftheloop on something I'm seeing on profiles lately; could someone explain the #ppm thing? Used in a sentence: "Born at 313ppm". I ddg-fu is returning it as parts per million... #askfedi #MomsSpaghetti

#introduction time! My name is Matt, I'm new to veganism.social, but not new to the #Fediverse. I first joined in 2018 on a #mastodon instance that's probably gone by now. I've been leaving and coming back over the years due to health and life circumstances, but I've been consistently back on for a while. Anyways, I'm an #opensource web developer (#php/#vue), #punk/#metal musician, #anarchist, #antifascist as hell, #feminist, #ally, and hater of #bigtech and what #ai is doin...
