  A friendly tip from someone who did that and stayed abroad for 15 years: be active in meeting new friends save joining in activities. They will help a lot when homesickness hits. The first hit was normally around two months in for me and my fellow students, after the excitement of being in a new place has subsided a bit.   I consider it plausible that someone actually posted it and meant it, some people I work with have reached the same mental stage (slightly above toddler). Bear in mind; these people are allowed to vote and drive cars.

  I would much rather prefer that if people don't like to curse or use vulgar language, they use richer vocabulary instead of masked versions of the vulgarities they don't want to utter in public. People can be insulted and degraded in the most beautiful ways, and it's a marvel to behold.
