When he needs to send a class material that involves an audio file, he sends it via email as a Word doc attachment, and the MP3 audio file embedded inside the Word doc. Mind. Blown.   Even if your inside joke is funny to you, those new to your circle who didn't get it will feel stupid for a moment until you explain the joke to them, and they will still feel stupid for not understanding it in the first place. In a community, inside jokes could be a thing that bonds the people on the inside together, but it can also be the thing that separates your newcomers from the rest of the group.
