RE: https://flipboard.social/@newsguyusa/116528749635459140 I’m sure he did the same when US deliberately targeted the girls elementary school in Iran… checks notes… nope he did not. To quote effinbirds, “I believe I speak for all of us when I say, fuck that guy”. https://effinbirds.com/post/807284025654935552

@elementary nothing but the essentials: Files, Terminal, Builder, VSCodium, Mail, Errands, Foliate

@janvlug yes, It’s not open source; at least not completely. My decision to go with Vivaldi was based on my stance of no forced genAI in my browser. I was a long time (~20 years) user and supporter of Firefox until Mozilla started with the genAI and then doubled-down on it.

@neil that’s the first thing that came to my mind too! It has an A18 Pro, so theoretically it may be possible to get Asahi Linux on it.

@janl so much this. I have started on the same journey and I am finding most of my workflows transferring to Linux without issue; which is great! There are still few apps that I have been for a long time that don’t seem to have a counterpart on Linux; e.g. @scrivenerapp, but otherwise this move of line to Linux is proving to be fairly smooth. Hoping to properly articulate this on my blog where I haven’t posted any articles in a long while 🙈

@simonbs Does this work in browsers other than Safari? I don’t use Safari on my Mac or iOS devices.

@fj any deal that has to include this sentence “shall not be referred to any national or international tribunal or third party for settlement” should be rejected immediately and outright! This is a red flag (perhaps not the only one in this deal) and a clear indication of their true intention, that these people are going to do some major villainy.

RE: https://mas.to/@thecontinent/116144163822701961 This is hands down one of the best and most informative African publications with thoughtful and thought provoking articles. Very old school (that’s good) traditional high caliber journalism that is so lacking now days. I love it and look forward to reading each issue. Well done folks! Well done! and thank you!
