I'd like my software to be completely open source, but certain web scrapers kept abusing the privilege and trying to reverse engineer my software and repurpose for stuff unrelated to games.

Oh that's TYT, I barely recognized them for a second there. I'm fine with them. I'm NOT fine google, microsoft, and apple Ai systems trying to trick people into working on deep secret software contrary to the wishes of the open source dev.

  • View post

Well yea, that's why you don't want someone like Tulsi Gabbard revoking security clearances on a whim when we do finally have that oil crises.

  • View post

Ok managed to get this down to 65.8 MB including the binaries. Hopefully that will make reverse engineers jobs...a little bit harder.

  • View post

But for instance I had to look at mobile version just to find out you could even use --no-debug to strip debugging software that bloats your binaries. Its things like that where to me I sometimes think web development should be a licensed profession. If there is a feature, document that feature. If its one devs are suppose to use.

  • View post

Emphasis being on feature intended for end users. For secret stuff, yea maybe dont document that. But thats not no-debug.

In fact I started making this language precisely because of how infrequently Crystal Lang people update their documentation.

In the US thats probably not a milkman as there arent really milkmen anymore.

  • View post

I was just going to say the idea of milk bags being greener is kind of BS. I can see the argument youd drink it faster. Id be worried about punctures in transportation.

Managed to get Crystal Lang documentation figured out for my DSL. I think I wont be hosting that on github though.

So apparently its more of a meme than reality at this point: it's absolutely not a thing in Vancouver.

I'm starting to think those bots may have effecting more than just Mastodon, given how my centralized social media experience has been.

It's not that I can't talk about what I'm working on, it's that I'm still early in development even for the scripting language, and I'm still exploring what the language can do.

For #lisp people, how different is Clojure from normal common lisp? I like Lisp although the order of operations for math is a little bit confusing.

  • View post

I mean that's been the bulk of the challenge in this DSL I'm developing: how do you apply Japanese cultural elements to a French language context, without losing elements like Ma and Ne.

Love Italian and French food, want to try Portuguese food again. I have not yet tried Spanish food.

I think because most people heard about me from other people rather than talking to me directly, I think some get an entirely different idea of what Im like: -- I dont work on anything remotely classified. I dont really plan on that at any point in the future. -- While an AI dev, its closer to Gofai than what they call AI these days, yes there is a technical difference.

Ah see I knew there would be a catch: apparently this channel adds Parm to cream cheese. Parm can make everything a lot better.

Portuguese is the other romance language I was wanting to learn.

  • View post

I guess thats why a lot of comics industry people dont end up being permanent activitypub netizens. Encountering way to many fediverse tourists.

In real life it makes me nervous even riding boats, as I dont really take keeling very well. So the fact my conlang developed maritime themes is more do the fact the base language inherit a lot of that from their war time language. I may end up exploring Sanadforutese more frequently for roguelike games I develop, and no this doesnt necessarily mean an Aeropolis.

  • View post

Aeropolis 2001 is interesting in its own way, but its absolutely not what Im talking about. Im talking about cyberpunk shanty towns made out of repurposed passenger airlines do the lack of suitable construction material in the desert.

Id hope the fedi wouldnt ever work like bluesky as that means nothing ever works properly.

Figured out how to make sweet potato pancakes.

  • View post

While the topic is on Russia, Im curious if some of the German and French language profiles are that. I dont recall there being that many French language profiles in the past, although fediverse was also a smaller orbit.

But now the demographic is so much more common now one might feel obligated to find a person in that demographic that can fact check stuff, which did not exist at the time I was drawing my webcomics and writing my webfiction.
