@kbal@fedia.io @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net @stux@mstdn.social Yeah, I want to love Vivaldi, but there's really no justification for a closed source browser in 2026. Especially when it's just a remix of a mature open source project (chromium) Waterfox has so far been wonderful... Everything I loved about Firefox with none of the slop or fascism

Electricity costs are ridiculous where I live thanks to tariffs and climate change, so I'm finally looking into #solar panels for my home... for context, I live in the northeast United States. Does anyone have general advice to avoid headaches or disasters if I go this route? #askfedi

Does anyone happen to know if there's a way to change the Emergency Alert Notification on Android to be a different sound, or to ensure it is completely silent? Or an alternate way of receiving them that bypasses the Android native functionality? The sound causes my partner to panic, but I don't want us to miss the alerts completely... #askfedi
