@afewbugs@social.coop also nearly every alliterative “verbing the noun” construction sounds like an euphemism for masturbation.

@astro_jcm Today's runbook: 1. Set phone to most annoying ring-tone, max volume. 2. Lock in work drawer with a high capacity battery attached. 3. At 1630, `git push --force main` 4. Leave work right after, works best right before extended vacation.

@mekkaokereke I loved what the French Foreign Minister said last year, paraphrased (and translated): "We cannot leave the security of Europe up to 50,000 voters in Michigan every four years."

Hi there, fellow Spaceship Earth travelers! It's tricky trying to make music while living in an RV (I miss my home studio so much!) but sometimes I can summon up something now and then: https://ludwigvielfrass.bandcamp.com/track/dawn-on-the-ice-pond If you feel inclined, give it a listen! I hope you like it. #music #musicproduction #bandcamp

My German has gotten rustier and rustier since my mom died nearly 10 years ago. At that point, she was my last living German-speaking relative. It is getting harder for me to read and forget hearing it at this point. Anybody out there have interesting and not too heavy German language first Fedi folks they follow? Bonus points if they don’t mind interacting with someone whose German language skill sucks? #german #deutsch

@mayintoronto Writing code was never the hard part of a software engineer's job. If you can explain the problem well and correctly enough in prose form, the code pretty much follows. Thinking clearly about problems has always been the toughest part of this job.

Here's a preview of a melodic ambient track I'll be putting up on Bandcamp pretty soon. Still needs a little more work, but I like it so far! #music #production #ambient #tune

@Lemmus @david_chisnall Well, they can pry my general purpose computing devices from my cold, dead, arthritic hands.
