My favorite part of talking to @compnerd@fosstodon.org was hearing why he brought Swift to Windows at all. Learning about his conviction about the language plus a bit of stubbornness. If you believe a language is good, you want it where the people are, and most desktops run Windows. And everyone said it wasn't practical, so he wanted to prove it out.
