  They used to look for salvation in everybody else, which dragged them to some seriously dark spots. It’s kinda laughable now, ‘cause they spent years hunting for something only they could give themselves. Not seeing that left them open to some pretty crappy people, and they just went with it, thinking they were worthless and it was on others to save them. Now, they’re this flawed, weird, lovable, kind, badass person, no matter if anyone else gives a thumbs-up or not.
