Reading a bit of #Talmud. It says a #Torah scholar is not allowed to be in a city without the essentials of life, including a (religious) court and a fund for the poor. This must be why one of my rabbis said "Without community, there is no Torah." https://www.sefaria.org/Sanhedrin.17b.10 #community #Mazeldon #Jewish

This guy is unsettling and misleading. Nobody ever claimed that matzah ball soup was original. Nothing is original, to be honest. Except maybe cholent, but even it has influences from surrounding cultures. This focus on "purity" is, as I said, unsettling. (I found this looking for vegan matzah ball soup recipes...) https://karlradl14.substack.com/p/jewish-invention-myths-matzah-ballsmatzah #antisemitismus

There is now an anti-Zionist queer congregation in my city, and it's sort of affiliated with the main queer synagogue in the city. This new congregation even uses Yiddish. More anti-Zionist Yiddishists... Good for them, but I won't be joining. #Jewish #KansasCity #Zionism #Israel #LGBTQ #Yiddish
