"Everything I’ve ever heard has ‘found’ me. That’s to say that everything I love comes from other people putting me onto it. No radio, no social media back then. You’d hear it in someone’s car and then say ‘let me get a copy fam’. Real word of mouth is the most powerful way of promotion. I know it’s all Instagram and whatever the fuck now, but I loved the days when it was just cassettes and touring. It’s the purest form." Good list, good words. Bless Tricky. https://thequietu...

Subvert.fm is live! As essential as Bandcamp currently is to the enormous diaspora of "small" musical artists, said platform's ownership and possible future development is a real and growing source of concern, so with great delight we're joining up with a real alternative, collectively owned subvert.fm - launching to the public today - congratulations to everyone involved and the culmination of two years hard work - looking forward to seeing it grow. https://...

"We trim your hedges We fight your wars Wade in the trenches and we’re fucked ‘til we’re sore." Timing, sadly, is everything. Fuck the people causing this. All of them. Regardless of their chosen 'religions', they have no souls nor humanity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-57FrioeuE #music #politics #poetry

Some fine Sterling Morrison-tribute guitar playing in the middle too, but the hat tip and name drop is to "Dylan In The Movies" from Belle & Sebastian. #listeningClub #namedroppersvortex

Hey there, we've got a new Golden Hour mix for you to hear, #12 no less, this time a boisterous yet smooth adventure through the cosmic lights in the sky that connect the constellations of jazz, jungle and footwork. Hopefully it will provide a worthwhile hours distraction to the ongoing crapola provided by the news networks, so turn it up loud and dance a little crazy with us, why don't you! https://www.mixcloud.com/kleptones/the-golden-hour-12-2026-03-15/ #kleptones #music #mi...

Well then, you have been listening to the rather insane range of stylings contained in All Seeing I's "Pickled Eggs And Sherbet", from 1999. All Seeing I were Dean Honer, Jason Buckle and DJ Parrot. Lyrics mostly by Jarvis Cocker, and guest vocals from himself, alongside Tony "Amarillo" Christie, Phil Oakey from The Human League & Babybird. Most of these folks are from the city of Sheffield in the UK. Thanks for listening, hope you enjoyed!...

Hooray, we're back with season 4 of The In-Tray! A little later than expected, sorry about that, but more than willing to make up for it with two whole hours of quality recent releases from the most excellent musical fringes of the entire globe, or as much of it as we can find and cram into a show, anyway. https://www.mixcloud.com/kleptones/the-in-tray-s04-e01-2026-02-23/ #music #radio #kleptones
